Math Activities:
Penny Toss (Grade K-1) Skill: counting to 20 greater than/less than one-to-one correspondence
Materials: piece of paper, pen, paper clips, two pennies
Prep: Divide your paper into a 2 X 4 grid. Have your child name 8 numbers between one and ten. Write a number in each box of the grid.
To Play: Take turns tossing a penny onto the grid. If it lands on a line, toss again. Each person gets two turns. When your penny lands on a number, take that many paper clips. When each person has tossed twice, they count all their clips out loud to see who has the most. The one with the most is the winner.
